I spent the day in Kiruhura District where I officiated the opening of the newly constructed Main Hall at Kashwa Secondary School. There is tangible development in our communities under the leadership of and the NRM’s commitment to education infrastructure.

I thank the North Ankole Diocese, school leadership, and all area leaders for turning up and for their continued dedication to driving transformation in the area. Together, we are building a stronger, more empowered Uganda.

Today, I had the honour of serving as Chief Guest at the belated Women’s Day celebrations in Hoima District. The women of Hoima have truly moved, from subsistence to commercial enterprise, building businesses, creating wealth, and taking on leadership roles.

This progress reflects the enabling environment under the stewardship of H.E and the NRM. I encouraged them to soar even higher while upholding strong family values as a foundation for sustainable development.

As we mark this blessed occasion of Eid, I extend my warmest wishes to all our Muslim brothers and sisters. May this day bring peace, joy, and renewed strength to you and your families.

Eid reminds us of the values of sacrifice, compassion, unity, and gratitude principles that continue to guide us as we work together for the progress of our communities and our nation.

May Allah accept your prayers and grant you abundant blessings, good health, and prosperity.

Today, with the Minister of Lands, Hon. Judith Nabakooba, officials from the Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom, leaders of the local government, security forces, technical teams from the National Forestry Authority (NFA), NEMA, and government surveyors, we officially launched the emplacement of boundary pillars for Bugoma Forest in Kikuube District.

This exercise is a decisive step toward securing the forest’s legal boundaries and safeguarding it as a strategic national asset. While there has been controversy surrounding sections of the forest’s borders, government remains resolute. The demarcation process is grounded in lawful survey records and inter-agency coordination, and it will proceed accordingly.

We are committed to ensuring that this activity is fully implemented and that all encroachers are removed in line with the law. Protecting Bugoma Forest is a national obligation tied to environmental sustainability, biodiversity conservation, and the long-term interests of our country.

Yesterday in Kikuube, I joined Hon. Judith Nabakooba, security agencies, and technical teams from the Ministry of Lands, the Ministry of Water and Environment, and the NFA for a critical engagement on the protection of the Bugoma Central Forest Reserve.

The 2023 boundary survey using the official gazetted maps is complete, and the upcoming pillar planting is to reinforce the established limits. The survey identified 21 claimants within the reserve, accounting for about 36% of the gazetted forest area, a huge strain on a forest 1st protected in 1932.

We must restore order, halt further encroachment, and safeguard this national asset for future generations. Environmental security is national security.

Today, we remember Janani Luwum, a man who stood for truth at a time when silence would have been safer.

Archbishop Luwum reminds us that leadership is not about comfort or position but courage, conviction, and moral responsibility. His life calls each of us, especially those entrusted with public office, to act with integrity, to defend justice, and to serve with clean hands and clear consciences.

As we honour his sacrifice, may we recommit ourselves to building a Uganda grounded in accountability, unity, and respect for human dignity.

May his legacy continue to guide our service to the nation.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Uganda for ensuring a peaceful and successful election. I especially thank the people of Bunyoro for their support to the NRM. Congratulations to President and the NRM.

Let us now return to our work with renewed commitment to the development of our nation.

The people of Uganda have spoken with clarity and confidence, reaffirming their trust in the leadership of H.E. President and the NRM by delivering a decisive 71.6 percent mandate.

Just before the polls, together with my husband, Mr. Mugasa, I met the President at State House, Entebbe, where we briefed him on mobilisation efforts, particularly in Kikuube and Hoima districts, and the strong momentum on the ground as Ugandans prepared to vote.

This momentum was clearly reflected in Hoima and Kikuube, which overwhelmingly voted for H.E. Kaguta Museveni, with provisional results indicating strong majorities in both districts. Final figures and percentages will be updated once confirmed.
