Pastor Sam Ssali holistically impacted by the Divine Encounter Convention under CRMI (2006)
A testimony of the holistic impacts of the Divine encounter is seen in how the lord has moved in the life , ministry and family of Pastor Samuel Ssali, from a deep rural area in Central Uganda. In the 2006 Divine Encounter, Pastor Ssali's son was brought apparently dead to the meeting. As Apostle John & Sarah Bunjo ministered to the thousands of participants present that day, suddenly there rose a commotion in the congregation. The child's mother realized that Her child who had died early that morning was alive again. She was beside Herself as she praised God. When she was called upon to tell what had happened, she narrated how Her child had been ill for days, and had died that morning. She had come to the venue of the Divine encounter, hoping that Apostle John Bunjo would help Her with some transport fare to take back Her dead child. She briefly met Apostle John Bunjo, who not being aware that the child had died, touched the child and declared that the kid would be alive. Apostle John Bunjo then went to the auditorium to preach while the child's mother too went into the meeting with Her dead child and sat down, miserable and distraught. But to the glory of God, instead of getting money to transport a dead boy back home for burial, God raised Her Child back to life. He is now a healthy boy, growing up like a normal kid.
Two years after raising the child, in the 2008 divine encounter, Apostle Bunjo started a drive to support Ssali's ministry and family. Pastor Ssali's congregation was just a handful of people, and He was extremely poor. A makeshift shack served as his His Church's meeting place. Apostle Bunjo appealed to the congregation to buy land and build for the Ssali family a decent house, and some money was raised. This funds drive got known by some CRMI partners in the UK, and the lord led Nick Holmes and His wife Andrea, who came on a short term mission to Uganda, to support Ssali's family. Nick raised funds to construct a permanent church building for Pastor Ssali. From the shack in which His small congregation was meeting, now Ssali has one of the best church buildings in kayunga district. Nick and Andrea went further and raised funds to purchase land on which to build a decent house for Ssali's family. Plus a PA system for the church was purchased as well.
Pastor Ssali's life Has Been totally transformed spiritually, physically and materially ever since His son was raised in a Divine Encounter. Ssali attended RBTC free with a diploma in ministry. He is now one of the key church leaders in His district.
Pastor Ssali's testimony is just one example of what God has done through the Divine encounter Conventions. Divine Encounter conventions have also been in the UK as well, with Apostle John Bunjo as a keynote speaker. Awesome results have been equally registered.

Story of St. Valentine
"The story of Valentine's Day begins in
the third century with an oppressive Roman
emperor and a humble Christian Martyr.
The emperor was Claudius II. The Christian
was Valentinus.
Claudius had ordered all Romans to
worship twelve gods, and had made it a
crime punishable by death to associate with
Christians. But Valentinus was dedicated to
the ideals of Christ; not even the threat of
death could keep him from practicing his
beliefs. He was arrested and imprisoned.
During the last weeks of Valentinus's
life a remarkable thing happened. Seeing
that he was a man of learning, the jailer
asked whether his daughter, Julia, might be
brought to Valentinus for lessons. She had
been blind since birth. Julia was a pretty
young girl with a quick mind. Valentinus
read stories of Rome's history to her. He
described the world of nature to her. He
taught her arithmetic and told her about
God. She saw the world through his eyes,
trusted his wisdom, and found comfort in his
quiet strength.
"Valentinus, does God really hear our
prayers?" Julia asked one day.
"Yes, my child, He hears each one."
"Do you know what I pray for every
morning and every night? I pray that I might
see. I want so much to see everything
you've told me about!"
"God does what is best for us if we will
only believe in Him," Valentinus said.
"Oh, Valentinus, I do believe! I do!" She
knelt and grasped his hand.
They sat quietly together, each praying.
Suddenly there was a brilliant light in the
prison cell. Radiant, Julia screamed,
"Valentinus, I can see! I can see!"
"Praise be to God!" Valentinus
exclaimed, and he knelt in prayer.
On the eve of his death Valentinus
wrote a last note to Julia, urging her to stay
close to God. He signed it, "From your
Valentine." His sentence was carried out the
next day, February 14, 270 A.D., near a gate
that was later named Porta Valentini in his
memory. He was buried at what is now the
Church of Praxedes in Rome. It is said that
Julia planted a pink-blossomed almond tree
near his grave. Today, the almond tree
remains a symbol of abiding love and
friendship. On each February 14, Saint
Valentine's Day, messages of affection, love,
and devotion are exchanged around the
world."
