Speaking on individual savings and business discipline, Ovia Kyomukama observes that personal financial preparedness is just as important as professional readiness. She explains that enrolling in voluntary savings with NSSF not only strengthens individual financial security but also reflects the discipline and foresight required to build a sustainable enterprise. She adds that for business owners, consistent saving creates resilience during uncertain periods and lays the foundation for long-term stability.

Reflecting on BrandLab’s growth, Ovia notes that persistence, diligence, and attention to detail have transformed the business from a small start-up into a trusted supplier. She explains that this progress extends beyond the company itself, creating jobs, supporting other suppliers, and demonstrating how individual responsibility and strategic preparation can generate shared prosperity across entire value chains.

Giving a testimony as a supplier, Ovia Kyomukama, Business Director BrandLab tells a story of how her business' journey began during a period of uncertainty, noting that what started as a simple idea evolved into a business built itself on resilience, determination, and opportunity. She states that losing formal employment during the Covid-19 disruption became the turning point that pushed her to fully commit to entrepreneurship, demonstrating how challenging circumstances can create pathways for innovation and growth.

Ovia further explains that business success is shaped by preparation, persistence, and a willingness to continuously improve. Reflecting on BrandLab’s early setbacks, Ovia observes that securing the right documentation, embracing voluntary savings, and aligning with procurement requirements positioned her business for future opportunities.

She adds that although the company initially faced rejection and struggles to meet NSSF quality standards, continuous learning and adaptability from the Fund itself enabled the business grow into a competitive and trusted supplier.
