Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) is a parastatal public corporation acting under the aegis of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, that has the responsibility "to manage and operate" the seaports and lake ports of the country of Tanzania.

Dar es Salaam to open vehicles terminal Tanzania’s largest port, Dar es Salaam, is to open a ro-ro terminal that will be capable of handling 600,000 vehicles a year. The new facility, which will have the capacity to store 3,000 vehicles at any one time, is scheduled to open in September this year.
