We Influence Music

The Uganda Performing Right Society (UPRS) is a professional membership organization of songwriters, artistes, musicians, instrumentalists composers and music publishers of all kinds of music.

UPRS' mission is to license and promote the music of its members and foreign affiliates, obtain fair compensation for the public performance of their works and to distribute the royalties that it collects based upon those performances.

The UPRS license offers an efficient solution for businesses to legally perform or publish music while respecting the right of songwriters and composers to be paid fairly.
These businesses who use members' music to add value to their enterprises – from bars, restaurants and retail, to radio, TV to Internet, mobile services, DJs, Events Venues and more

Uganda Performing Right Society is governed by its writer and publisher members through a governing board.
