Peace counseling Bureau, Is a charity company that mentors, offers direction and ensures the well being of children through connecting the most vulnerable children to potential sponsors. It is committed to ensure the psychosocial and physical well being of all children including but not limited to: the abused, suffering chronic diseases/situations, disabled, helpless orphans, helpless refugees and
those from extremely poor families. PCB has approximately 20 members15 volunteers who are qualified counselors and 3 qualified counselor teachers. PCB started in Entebbe municipality and is still expanding across the country. It has so far outreached 87 schools in 7 districts including: Wakiso, Mukono, Kampala, Namutumba, Kabale, Kisoro and Hoima district. It has outreached 17 communities in different districts Peace Counseling Bureau was envisioned by Ategeka Proscovia as a result of her voluntary guidance and counseling activities in schools, hospitals, homes and police stations (in the family care and child protection units)She found out that there was really a great needy for an intervention in those fields, coupling it with her history in 2010 she together with her friends registered PCB to help the community.
Among Peace Counseling Bureau activities are:
_Outreaching schools, churches and communities offering guidance and counseling in Basic life skills, career guidance,sanitation, behavioral change among any other topic of concern required for a particular community.
_Taking concern and care of the most vulnerable children we come across through soliciting for their help, referrals, and connecting them to potential sponsors.
-Sensitizing and Initiating income Generating Activities to parents and guardians of the most vulnerable children.
