Kinde Youth Dev't Init (KYDI) Hosted a team from Skill Development Facilities(SDF). this was an information session and technical support on SDF Window 2 grant application, Our organization prioritizing Agribusiness & Social enterprise training for 16 youth groups in the 8 district of Lango sub-region, We are currently implementing our fist Youth led Project- Enhancing community capacity for atransformative Livelihood through Eco-Friendly Livestock Farming.
KIDE youth Development initiatives (KYDI) is an association young people found in Orum sub-county in Lira district in Uganda, established to improve the welfare of youth and families in Uganda through social entrepreneurship specifically focusing in breading piglets and fattening pigs and processing pork and marketing other pigs products.
The association was established in march-2016 and at the moment we have 20 registered members with over 60 more youth applying for full membership, with the establishment of KIDE young people in Orum sub-county who are the mainly care takers of their families hope to increase their income and support each other by investing their resources (time, energy and money) in commercial livestock farming, over 92% of youth in Uganda are small scale farmers who are under absolute poverty but have the drive to work but only restricted by capital.
We are piloting our first social enterprise 3 yrs project dubbed " sustainable livestock accelerator project' follow us closely for other developments.
our global objective is to strengthen the capacity livestock farmers, help them transform from subsistence farming into a viable, profitable businesses through establishment of both medium and large scale commercial farms, we believe these efforts shall enhance food security, upscale nutrition levels for women and children, preserve natural resources, stimulate youth employerbility and reduce poverty.
