I didn’t understand the meaning of unconditional love until I held my first grandchild in my arms. 

Elizabeth and I were blessed to attend the baptism of our beautiful granddaughter, Lila Elizabeth, this morning.

It was great to see our other three children, Jackson, Jonathan, and Josie, stand alongside her and her husband, DJ, as baptismal sponsors.

Pastor Derek knocked it out of the park with his sermon this morning! He broke down Revelation 2:1-7 in a way that really hit home. I will be watching it back a second time.

God is good.

Amendment K is VERY important.

South Dakota has collected more than $1.5 BILLION dollars from the unclaimed property fund. This unclaimed property is NOT owned by the State. It's actually owned by people like you and others all over the Country. Sadly, as of 2026 we are now on the hook for $1.2 BILLION dollars in future claims and South Dakota DOESN'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY THEM.

Rather than saving the excess money for future payouts, our State Government has been throwing the money in the general fund and spending it. Bizarre.

Saying YES to amendment K would mean the excess funds would now go into a trust to protect our State. It would also earn investment income over time which would be a big benefit to our state as well.

SLAM DUNK. Vote YES on amendment K.

Vote YES on Amendment J

Preventing non-U.S. citizens from voting in South Dakota elections should absolutely be protected by our state constitution.

Without this amendment, future legislatures and/or courts could make it legal for non-U.S. citizens to vote in South Dakota elections. We absolutely cannot let that happen.

Vote YES on amendment L

Amendment L would require a 60% vote in order to change our South Dakota constitution.

Changing our South Dakota constitution should be incredibly difficult.

The 50% threshold simply isn’t difficult enough.

Tony and I probably aren’t going on vacation together anytime soon, but good grief you couldn’t find a more appropriate picture?

Amendment L seeks to change the threshold to amend the South Dakota Constitution. Currently a simple majority of votes cast is needed. Amendment L would raise that to 60%.

This is so incredibly sad. Deputy Katherine Frank has passed away from wounds sustained in a recent shooting in Sioux Falls.

Katherine had just graduated from the police Academy two years ago.

It takes amazing bravery and dedication to serve as a law-enforcement official. Godspeed to her and the family and friends she leaves behind. 🙏

Vote YES on Amendment I.

A NO vote on Amendment I will lead to a potential budget shortage of $160,000,000 in years to come. This could usher in a potential state income tax, which would be a disaster.
