Another amazing week in City of Albion, Michigan! The Parks & Recreation Planning Workgroup meet and began their work on assessing and identifying future needs for parks and recreation programs. They will be reaching out to hear from you soon!
City Council learned about F.O.C.U.S.- Forging Opportunities for Career Upskilling and Success from Ben Pierce - Senior Resilience Coach - at Starr Commonwealth. A phenomenal program that helps emerging adults (age 16-24) to complete school, navigate life's challenges; and secure meaningful jobs.
Council presented a proclamation to recognize RED RIBBON WEEK - Oct. 23-31 and the local program for drug and alcohol awareness and Prevention.
I was honored to be the MC at the NAACP Albion NAACP Albion Branch NAACP 53rd Annual Freedom Fund Banquet. The guest speaker was Albion Alum Donna Terrell Lambert!
And over 1,000 kids and families participated in the Sweats on Superior Street! Great job organizing by the Greater Albion Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, local businesses and community partners!
Well...the front steps of City Hall are being reconstructed. And - YES - there was a time capsule from 1933!
