After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to step back from my SDEC race for CD3.
I’m so grateful for everyone who has encouraged me, supported me, and believed in me throughout this process. It has meant the world to me.
I care deeply about this work and I’m still committed to building a stronger, more grassroots Democratic Party. Right now, I’m choosing to focus my time and energy on the places where I can show up the most effectively and sustainably.
This is not me stepping away from the work. I still plan to stay involved with the Texas Progressive Caucus and Collin County Young Democrats, and I’m excited to keep supporting progressive candidates, young organizers, and the work ahead.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this chapter with me. I’m proud of what we’ve built, and I’m looking forward to what’s next.

For SDEC members seeking TXPC endorsement!💙
The Texas Progressive Caucus is an independent, homegrown, grassroots organization committed to building a better, stronger, and more effective Texas Democratic Party.
State Convention is where delegates come together to elect the governing body of our party, which makes the delegate role incredibly important.
By electing progressives to the State Democratic Executive Committee and caucus leadership, we are better positioned to pass rules and resolutions that make our party more accessible, more grassroots, and more powerful.
If you are running for SDEC or for an officer position with a TDP caucus holding elections at convention, and you are interested in helping build a stronger, more progressive Texas Democratic Party, we invite you to complete our endorsement application.
SDEC and TDP Caucus Officer Endorsements
Application deadline: May 29
Endorsements announced: June 15

TXPC members in good standing as of April 1, 2026 will be polled for Party Executive Officer endorsements.

Going to State Convention? Come hang out with Texas Progressive Caucus and get to know fellow progressives from around the state!
While we’re in Corpus Christi for State Convention, join the Texas Progressive Caucus for a Progressive Happy Hour!
Come spend some time with fellow progressives, catch up with friends from across the state, and build community outside the convention hall.
We’ll be at The Goldfish on Thursday, June 25th from 6 to 8 PM. Whether you’re a longtime caucus member or just looking to meet more folks who share our values, we’d love to see you there.
Let’s keep building the progressive movement together, one conversation at a time.

Don’t know what I’d do without my TYD besties- having youth at the table at the state level is so important and I’m even more passionate if they’re also moms to the next generation 👏👏
Shoutout to our TYD moms who balance public service, leadership, and motherhood with so much strength and heart.

I’m honored to have the endorsement of former CCDP Chair Sheena King-Flanary.
Sheena has done so much to build Democratic leadership and infrastructure in Collin County, and her support means a lot to me.
“Macey has earned a seat at the table through her fierce advocacy, dedication to relationships and details, and tireless efforts to elect Democrats in Texas!”
Thank you, Sheena. I’m grateful for your support and ready to keep doing the work.
