Big news for the Cressman Library Special Collections and the preservation of Cedar Crest College history!
Thanks to a recently awarded Historical & Archival Records Care Grant from the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission, we will be expanding access to our unique archival collection. Over the next two years, library staff—including student workers—will work together to review, scan, and catalogue objects in our archive. And we'll be sharing it all with you!
Subscribe to our new library blog, The Cressman Chronicle, to follow along on our archive digitization progress and other library resource updates. Get Cedar Crest College history delivered directly to your inbox!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚
Mental health is public health and sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause.
In academic spaces, we’re constantly pushed to keep going, whether with more research, more deadlines, more pressure. The Cressman Library is more than just a place to study, it is a space where you can slow down, reflect, and recharge. Access to knowledge matters, but so does giving yourself the time and space to breathe. Taking care of yourself is not falling behind. It’s making sure you can keep going.

During National Library Week - and Take Action For Libraries Day, we're asking for library advocates to make their voices heard and encourage Congress to oppose censorship and book bans! The goal of any library is to welcome any person to read, study, and use its valuable resources. Removing books prevents library workers from achieving that goal.
Your support is what allows Cressman Library, and libraries all over the world, to continue strengthening our communities while cultivating lifelong learning, collaboration, and critical inquiry. 📚📖📑
