Great work!
Restoring original brick facades and repairing historic windows may take a little more time, care, and craftsmanship, but preserving these details is so important to the character of our historic buildings and neighborhoods.
Every project like this helps protect the history, beauty, and identity of our community for future generations. Thank you for doing it the right way and investing in preservation over replacement!

Thanks to an incredible team effort, 44 new trees are now lining the perimeter of Union and West End Cemetery on 10th and Chew Streets.
A huge thank you to the volunteers who showed up ready to work and to our City staff who helped bring it all together so seamlessly.
This project was made possible in a big way thanks to Senator Nick Miller, whose support helped secure funding and expand the impact of this project, along with the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development, the City of Allentown, and the Allentown Shade Tree Commission.
These trees will do so much more than beautify our neighborhood—they’ll improve air quality, support stormwater management, and strengthen the natural landscape of one of Allentown’s most historic areas.
To everyone who played a part: thank you for helping create a greener, healthier, and more connected future. 💚
This is what community looks like.

We’re excited to see you tomorrow for our tree planting event! 🌱
It looks like we may get a little rain—but honestly, that’s kind of perfect for planting trees. The ground will be soft, the trees will love it, and there’s something pretty special about coming together outdoors, even in a drizzle.
So please don’t let the forecast keep you away. Throw on a rain jacket, wear shoes you don’t mind getting a little wet, and come ready for a fun, meaningful morning. We’ll keep the energy high, spirits up, and maybe even embrace the rain a bit.
Your time and effort make a real difference, and we’re so grateful you’re part of this.
See you there—rain or shine!

Yesterday was truly special. 💛
We packed Christ Lutheran Church for our classical piano benefit concert, and it was all because of our incredible community. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support Old Allentown and Christ Lutheran Church—your presence made the afternoon so meaningful.
Moments like this are a beautiful reminder of what community can do. We’re so grateful. 🎹
