Music, Memories & Wellness at Auburn Senior Center

Auburn Senior Center enjoyed a wonderful day filled with music, connection, and learning!

We welcomed Joshua from Piano and Memory Care, who shared his talents through piano and familiar songs. Joshua reminded us of the powerful connection between music and memory, especially for those living with dementia. A favorite song can spark memories, bring joy, and create meaningful moments of connection.

We also welcomed Deborah from Choose Healthy Living through Ebenezer Baptist Church, who shared helpful health and wellness resources with our seniors.

Thank you to Joshua and Deborah for helping make the day special for our participants!

Our Dogwood Senior Center participants recently enjoyed a wonderful day at the Senior Tech Summit, an event that brought together tech professionals from around the county to spotlight innovative technologies impacting seniors.

Seniors attended informative sessions covering important topics related to senior living and wellness, gaining valuable knowledge and insight to help them navigate the future with confidence.

The Summit was hosted by Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman (pictured here).

We may be a little late sharing the highlights, but the memories from our 4th Annual Mother’s Day Tea Celebration are too wonderful not to celebrate!

Our seniors enjoyed a lovely afternoon filled with music, laughter, and connection. Thanks to the City of Alpharetta Music Match program, guests were treated to the beautiful sounds of harpist Lisa Handman, creating the perfect atmosphere for this special occasion.

Participants arrived in their finest hats, enjoyed a fun game of Garden Bingo, shared stories and memories, and gathered together for a delightful tea party luncheon.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special and reminded us that every season of life deserves to be celebrated!

We welcomed volunteers to join us for a fun and inspiring Senior Sip & Paint Day at New Horizon Senior Center! Our participants enjoyed a relaxing afternoon filled with creativity, conversation, and connection.

Through watercolors, acrylics, canvas art, and adult coloring, seniors had the opportunity to express themselves, explore their creativity, and simply enjoy the moment. Whether creating a colorful flower, an abstract masterpiece, or something uniquely their own, each work of art reflected the imagination and personality of the artist behind it.

A special thank you to our volunteers for helping make days like this possible and for bringing joy, encouragement, and friendship to our seniors!
