This day was equal parts fun, informative, and inspiring. I always come away from these tours being even more amazed by not only how vast the resources are in our county, but even more so the heart and humanity behind the machine. We are so fortunate to live here and be served by so many amazing, committed people!

I loved this centerpiece that the Angier Museum designed and constructed! It was such a great representation of the historic location of the Museum in the Town Depot. Especially meaningful to me and my family was the lantern used in the center as it was one of several that my parents purchased on a vacation through New England. My father, Frank Myatt, purchased them for the specific purpose of displaying them in the depot. He would be so happy that they have remained a part of that monument all these years.

Sheveil Harmon and I representing Angier last night at the Town and State dinner in Raleigh at the Bridge Club. The place was beautiful, the food was amazing, but the people that we connected with on our shared passions for our towns was priceless. There is so much we can all learn from each other…
One thing that I picked up on from various conversations is that Angier is definitely the one to watch! 💯

Christmas is a season for many beautiful things…not the least of which are reflection, gratitude, inspiration and hope. I know many of us have been impacted by difficulties like illness, tragedy, sadness and disappointment. But always at this time of year, we start to look ahead and ‘hope’.
Our little town has been through some sadness and despair over the years for many reasons. My hope and prayer on this day marked by the greatest miracle of all is that we can all start to look ahead to a brighter, more optimistic future. One that engenders a spirit of consideration of others thoughts and needs, encouragement, and the spirit of community that Angier has historically embodied.
Merry Christmas and God bless us all!

Glowing holiday warmth and cheer
