💙💛🐾

Training by day. Cultural immersion by night.

K9 Vader is currently in New Mexico with Officer Rieth, where the two are putting in the work during the day as they continue their training. After hours, Vader has been getting a little exposure to Wisconsin culture.

He’s calling Brewers 🧹 the Dodgers. If you disagree, he finds your lack of faith disturbing.

Welcome to the team, K9 Vader!

Meet K9 Vader. 🐾

Officer Rieth has a new partner, and the two are currently down in New Mexico beginning their training together. Vader will eventually join our K9 team here in Appleton, where he’ll put that training to work alongside Officer Rieth serving our community.

We want to thank everyone who has generously supported the APD K9 Fund. Your generosity has helped make it possible to bring Vader to Appleton while also ensuring our K9s receive the highest quality care, training and equipment throughout their careers.

We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support our community shows these four-legged members of our department and the work they do.

And if you want to follow along with Vader, Officer Rieth and the rest of the K9 crew, check out Friends of the Pack-Appleton Police Department K-9 Unit.

Handler Jeremy Norris put K9 Kaleb to the test, and apparently Kaleb is taking the Atlanta Falcons over the Green Bay Packers…

We appreciate Kaleb’s enthusiasm… but after this questionable decision, we’ll have Sgt. Rohm and K9 Quinn handle all future game predictions 🧀

Kaleb, stick to finding the stuff you’re actually trained to find…

Protect. Serve. Puppuccino 🐾

Happy First Day of Fall! 🍁🍂

K9 Quinn wanted to kick off the new season with a pumpkin spice latte like the rest of us, but unfortunately coffee is only for humans, so he compromised on a Starbucks puppuccino and is officially ready to patrol in sweater weather. ☕🐾

K9 Drakon and Officer Doemel are helping out at Camp Randall today for the Badger football game!

Of course, Drakon had to take a quick break to pose in front of the Badger sign!

Keeping watch, putting in some work, and representing the Appleton Police Department K-9 Unit in Madison!

On, Wisconsin!

🏈🐾 K9 QUINN HAS MADE HIS PICK!

With the Packers taking on the Vikings tomorrow, Sgt. Rohm decided it was time to put K9 Quinn’s football knowledge to the test.

Two scent boards. One Vikings. One Packers. 🟣🟢🟡

After working both options, K9 Quinn gave a clear indication on the PACKERS board!

So it’s official: K9 Quinn is licking—I mean, PICKING—the Packers to beat the Vikings tomorrow!

And judging by the smile on Sgt. Rohm’s face afterward, we’d say he’s pretty happy with Quinn’s decision.

Now we have to hope Quinn’s nose is as good at predicting football games as it is at doing police work!

GO PACK GO!
