The Democratic Party of DeSoto County, Florida promotes the selection and election of Democrats to public office. The leadership of the local party is vested in the Democratic Executive Committee. Officers are Robert Vaughn, Chairman; Barbara Foster Jackson, Vice Chair; Michael Pooser, Treasurer; Mary Hathcock, Secretary; Colleen Spangler, State Committeewoman and Jeff Griffis, State Committeeman.
