Rescue 109 removed three rings 💍 from Crystal City resident!

The rings had become stuck due to swelling, requiring firefighters to use specialized tools from the rescue company’s “Man vs. Machine” kit to safely remove them. This kit is one of many specialized pieces of equipment carried on rescue companies in Arlington County and is designed to help firefighters free people trapped or stuck in everyday objects.

Thankfully, the rings were successfully removed and the patient was able to get relief quickly.

Rescue 109 assisted Fairfax County Fire station 410 with a vehicle accident with one trapped. This had an extended extrication time due to the patient being heavily trapped, the amount of damage to the vehicle and the confined area to work in. Companies 109 and 410 worked seamlessly as we tend to do which help provide the best outcome for the patient. Sorry. No pictures. A platoon at work.
