On June 5, 2026, at 2 p.m., the American Battle Monuments Commission will commemorate the 82nd anniversary of the D-Day landings at the Pointe du Hoc Ranger Monument, with a ceremony in support of the Comite de la Pointe du Hoc and the village of Criqueville-en-Bessin.

⚠️ Please be advised of the following Pointe du Hoc Ranger Monument access changes, in observance of the ceremony:

▪️ Due to the ongoing renovation project and to ensure the safety of the public, invited guests, and ABMC employees and contractors, the monument will be closed to the public on June 5, 2026. The access road and parking will be limited to official vehicles and invited guests.

▪️ On June 4, 2026, there will be intermittent interruptions to vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the monument.

▪️ The Pointe du Hoc Ranger Monument and its parking will be open to the public as normal on June 6 and 7, 2026.

▪️ Cemetery staff and signage will be in place to assist and direct all visitors.

On June 6, 2026, the world will pause to honor the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, one of the most pivotal moments in modern history.

The American Battle Monuments Commission will commemorate the 82nd anniversary of the D-Day landings at Normandy American Cemetery, on June 6, 2026, at 11 a.m., with U.S. and French dignitaries, veterans’ associations, and other invited guests.

⚠️ Please be advised of the following Normandy American Cemetery access changes, in observance of the ceremony:

▪️ On June 6, 2026, the cemetery will be open to the public, but access to the ceremony will be limited to individuals with an official invitation. Visitors without an official invitation will be able to view the ceremony from behind designated barriers.

▪️ The cemetery pedestrian access will be open during official hours (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.), but the parking lot will be closed to the public until after the ceremony. During this time, access will be granted to the vehicles of official invitees and ceremony support personnel only.

▪️ There will be limited external public parking (cars and light vehicles) available adjacent to the cemetery access road prior to and during the ceremony. RVs will not be able to park in this area. There is very limited public/street parking in the village of Colleville-sur-Mer. We invite visitors to plan accordingly.

▪️ The Visitor Center will be closed all day and reopen the following day, June 7.

▪️ Cemetery staff and signage will be in place to assist and direct all visitors.
