Anyway, I was told recently (Sat) by one of my favorite Aggies that I make parenting look easy. Raising a two year old is no walk in the park but I'm also serving pre-teens and teens who are asking about/having s*x, thinking about college, trying to find themselves, etc. so going back and forth with Q about what to eat, wearing sandals in Feb, and potty time seem completely reasonable comparatively. So while easy certainly isn't the word I would use to describe this journey there are a few things that make it a bit more practicable.
1. Make sure your cup is full, always. Challenging at times but commit.
2. Rely on the village.
3. Make incremental changes and key decisions one at a time. I'm a Project Manager / SAFe Agilist so this works well for me naturally. Umm look for me in the PMBOK Guide, Appendix X2, Fifth Edition under key contributors. (🤓Nerdy Flex lol)

How do I do it all? I don't. I do what matters most.

Balance is dumb. My goal is to be a good steward of all that God has given me and the rest of the stuf can fall on the floor. We have all the time we need to do the things we're actually called to do!

The last few weeks have been full...not in an overwhelming way but in a way that makes me feel good about being exactly where God needs me and grateful for these opportunities to bloom where I've been planted.

I've been able to serve women over the past few weeks who are navigating difficult times of transition. Some are waiting on a miracle and if you're in the same boat, here's a reminder that every day you wake up is a miracle so while you wait on "that miracle" don't discount the miracles being shared daily.

Others are feeling abandoned and lost, like God is silent and forgotten them as they seek direction, purpose, and opportunities to use their gifts. Here's a reminder that your gift is cultivated through practice, your calling is cultivated through prayer.

And a few are discouraged by broken relationships and wondering how to begin the journey of repair. Here's a reminder that "meeting people where they are" isn't as helpful as "meeting them with grace".

Last week I attended the event. First pic is me thinking I'm cute in my event fit. Not pictured is Q off to the right like "whatever lil ugly, lift that bra up, I'm hungry". Anyway, the event was dope and I left inspired by the women, both single and married who shared some of their journeys of love and fortitude. My heart smiled particulatly as some of the ladies talked about the blessings of their vows.

Last night I got to celebrate with my good friend . It's been such a joy and inspiration to watch this journey unfold. I remember the naysayers who thought you were crazy for leaving your "good government job". God had plans. You were in the KW top 10 in 2015, God flexed in 2016 and flexed some more in 2017 lol, and you were recognized by Washingtonian this year! The best part is the way you're pouring into others so effortlessly (likely because you are full, can't pour from an empty glass chile). Congrats to The Greene Group!

Oh right? So what was the reminder? Here it is: When God blesses your neighbor, it means He's in the neighborhood.
