The William L. Winston Award is presented annually by the Arlington County Bar Foundation to a member of the Northern Virginia community who has distinguished himself or herself
in the promotion of democratic ideals and advancement of the rule of law.

Fostering camaraderie and friendship on the Foundation Board is essential for sharing ideas and developing leadership capabilities. We extend our appreciation to our Senior Directors for planning lunches with Robert Willey and Betsey Wildhack, our two newest directors.

We are incredibly grateful to the Arlington County Bar Foundation for their generous grant, as well as to all those who have contributed through donations. The Arlington County Bar Foundation, the philanthropic wing of the Arlington County Bar Association is proud to announce the recipient of the coveted Campbell Smith Thompson Award for 2025 will be Professor Michael Davis of the GMU Antonin Scalia School of Law.

The award will be conveyed at the Donor Donee Reception on Thursday June 26th at 4pm in the Arlington County Courthouse. Please join us as we convey our grant checks to our deserving Grantee organizations and congratulate Director Davis.
