At the February 25, 2026, meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Arlington, Tom Parker presented the 2025 Community Service Award to Carmen Romero, President and CEO of True Ground Housing Partnership, noting her success in leading True Ground to its position as a regional leader in the provision of affordable housing.

Arlington Thrive is proud to provide financial assistance to help cover medical expenses. We joined VHC Health and Kiwanis Club of Arlington for the 2nd Annual Community Health Fair, sharing resources with neighbors who may need support. When neighbors are cared for, our community thrives!

SAVE THE DATE! The Kiwanis Club of Arlington, in partnership with the Virginia Hospital Center's Professional Development Council, is hard at work on their 2nd annual Community Health Fair, aimed at serving Arlington families who have little or no access to health care. The event will be held on Saturday, October 18, at Carlin Springs Elementary School.

Perhaps the Kiwanis Club of Arlington's longest-running service project is monthly bagging of groceries for the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). Members Laura Winfrey and Edd Nolen are shown here packing fresh food for Arlington's neediest families. Anyone may join us! It's a fun time for camaraderie and giving back to the community.
