The George W. Hawkes Downtown Library experienced unexpected water damage over the weekend. The library will be open to the public normal hours, however, certain areas of the collection will have limited access. Staff will be available for assistance on every floor.

The George W. Hawkes Downtown Library is temporarily closed today, Sunday May 24, 2026, due to sudden facility issues. The East Library and Recreation Center is open normal hours today, from noon to 5 p.m.

The Create, Craft, and Chat program from 3-5 p.m. today at the Downtown library has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule soon!

2026 Memorial Day Closings and City Service Schedules in Arlington Garbage and residential recycling pickups will occur in Arlington on Monday as regularly scheduled.

Trouble has come to the Wild West, and it’s up to you to crack the case. Take on a role, follow the clues, and work with fellow townsfolk to solve this western whodunit.
