This brings back a lot of memories! AmeriCorps NCCC was where I learned to use a table saw, put up dry wall, and frame a house. 🏡 We built trails and restored railing in South Dakota, and worked with Habitat for Humanity in Americus GA and Belen NM. I spent a semester at Vetal Elementary in Detroit MI working with Communities In Schools, with the American Red Cross in Moore OK after tornadoes hit, and with FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency in North Carolina after Hurricane Floyd gutting homes and working in donation warehouses.

I learned so many skills, spent time in so many diverse communities, and learned how to become a strong team. It truly made me who I am today.

Grateful to knock doors with a longtime champion of public schools Lesley Dahlkemper! If there is someone who knows how to fight to protect our kids, fund our schools, and support our teachers and staff, it is this leader. We’re in great hands with her as our next Lieutenant Governor.

Please vote yes on 5A and 5B, and NN - and let’s get Colorado out of the bottom for school funding, because our kids and families in Jefferson County deserve it!

Yesterday we saw the only appearance of Phil Weiser with his opponent Victor Marx. Their was no comparison on who is the more ready, prepared, and knowledgeable candidate for the people of Colorado. As usual AG Weiser showed up and spoke from the heart and displayed measured answers based on experience and facts. And he delivered hope for the future.

Looking forward to working together in the Colorado State House.

Our second community listening session is complete! Thank you Jo Burns for hosting!

Meeting with people and getting a chance to sit down and talk about the things that are important to them is exactly the motivation I need to work hard until the end of this campaign! I’m so grateful people are willing to spend time and help me prepare to represent them at the State House.
