Happy National Coming Out Day! 🏳️‍🌈

National Coming Out Day was first celebrated on 11 October 1988, founded by LGBTQ+ activists Robert Eichberg and Jean O’Leary to mark the anniversary of the 1987 March on Washington for Le***an and Gay Rights. The day was created to celebrate LGBTQ+ visibility and encourage people to live authentically, while recognising that coming out is a personal choice.

There’s no right timeline or single way to come out, so today (11 October) we celebrate everyone who has shared their LGBTQ+ identity with the world, those who are still figuring things out, those who choose to keep that part of themselves private, and everyone in between.

Heads up! Stay safe everyone!

Due to incoming inclement weather, we are putting safety first and rescheduling Pumpkintown to October 24, 2026.

We care deeply about our vendors and community. With the possibility of strong winds and heavy rain, we are making the difficult decision to reschedule Pumpkintown to Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Vendors, you should have received an email with a survey at the end on if you will be attending the rescheduled date. Please remember, we are a small committee and are working as diligently as possible to get all needs addressed.

Don’t forget that you MUST be registered by Monday, OCT 5th to vote in the November elections in Tennessee. Please make sure your registration is up-to-date and you are informed about the candidates and issues on the ballot. Our voices hold power and we should show up and show out! If you have questions about how to register to vote, comment below or send us a message and we will be in touch with resources. So many people fought for our right to cast a decisions making vote, let’s make them proud!

People often don’t understand how harmful it can be to misgender folks, especially trans, non-binary or gender expansive people.
The more we can care for each other and show respect to those who we cross paths with in our lives, the more we can contribute to a kinder world.
