It’s officially the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL in Newton County Schools! What an incredible year it has been filled with achievements, memories, growth, and moments worth celebrating.

Reminder: Today is an early release day for students.

As we close out another amazing school year, we want to thank our students, staff, families, and community for making 2025-2026 so special. We hope everyone enjoys a fun, safe, and relaxing summer break!

Tomorrow is the last day of school and it will be a half day for students. Please also remember there will be no after school program tomorrow afternoon.

Tomorrow, Friday, May 22, is the final day of school for students and will be an EARLY RELEASE DAY.

Student dismissal times will be:
• Elementary Schools & the STEAM Academy — 11:15 AM
• High Schools — 12:15 PM
• Middle Schools — 1:15 PM

Lunch will be served at all schools prior to dismissal, and students who normally ride school buses will be transported to their regular afternoon bus stops.

It’s Kindergarten Round-Up Week! 🎉🎒

Online registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now open for our incoming kindergarten students. If your child will be 5 years old by September 1, now is the time to get them registered!

Be sure to review the required documents and registration details before getting started, and remember—schools are offering in-person assistance by appointment for families who need support.
