* WHAT...Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Trees
could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Secure outdoor objects.

🚨Please be weather alert!!
At this point no one knows what is going to happen here. Best rule prepare for the worst and be thankful if it is not as bad.
If you are in our community and have any medical needs please reach out to Jonathan McComb, Justin Johnson or Kimatha Johnson and let us know if roads may hinder emergency care.

Please check the elders, know their heating situation….update us as we will be facing frigid temperatures for many days.

The NWS has issued a WINTER STORM WATCH

IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Snow and sleet
accumulations up to half an inch and ice accumulations up to one
quarter inch.

* WHERE...Calhoun and Cleburne Counties.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Expect power outages and tree damage due to the ice.
Travel could be impossible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter
storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains,
booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help
you survive in case you become stranded.
