ATTENTION WIC RECIPIENTS: Effective March 1, 2023, temporarily approved non-contract, store-brand, and international formulas will no longer be eligible for issuance by the Georgia WIC Program and redemption by Georgia WIC Program participants. However, participants may continue to access the temporary approved non-standard WIC can sizes and expanded line of contract formulas.

The WIC Approved Foods List shows the types, sizes, and packaging of foods WIC participants may receive with their WIC food benefits.

You can take the WIC Eligibility Assessment to see if you qualify or contact your local WIC office to make an appointment and find out which documents you will need to bring with you. At your appointment, WIC staff will check to see if you and your family qualify.

Did You Know...
WIC covers the following individuals who meet the criteria for financial eligibility:
▪️Infants and children ages 1-to-5 years (including foster children)
▪️Pregnant women (through pregnancy and up to 6 weeks after birth or after pregnancy ends)
▪️Breastfeeding mothers (during the child’s first year)
▪️Non-breastfeeding postpartum women (up to 6 months after the birth of an infant or after pregnancy ends)

Georgia WIC recognizes human milk as the standard for infant feeding and nutrition.
The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) promotes, protects, and supports breastfeeding as the preferred method of infant feeding for the first year, and beneficial to both the infant's and the mother's health.
