As of today, not one person from the City of Hampton or Henry County has reached out to us. No phone call. No email. No public statement.
The silence is loud.
We will continue to stand for the O’Neal Cemetery, the historic church, and every forgotten resting place that deserves dignity and protection. We aren’t going anywhere. We’ll keep documenting, speaking up, and demanding accountability until the right thing is done.

Today was another reminder that when you stand on truth, your voice will be heard.
To everyone who has stood with Honor Thy Roots Cemetery Preservation, thank you. Every share, every volunteer, every donation, every prayer, and every voice has helped bring this issue into the light.
We said we would not be silenced.
We said we would not stop.
We said we would not be moved.
And we meant every word.
Our ancestors deserve dignity. They deserve respect. They deserve to rest in peace without being forgotten or disturbed. We will continue advocating, documenting, educating, and holding those in positions of responsibility accountable until these historic cemeteries receive the protection they deserve.
This movement is bigger than us. It’s about honoring those who came before us and protecting their legacy for the generations that follow.
