Job Description
Job Functions:
-Service of kitchen hood fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers and emergency exit lights.
-Operate basic hand tools and equipment- drills, screwdrivers, channel locks, tape measure, pipe/conduit cutter.
-Drive to and from job sites
-Perform general fire equipment maintenance- recharge fire extinguishers and fire suppression system tanks, minor pipe/conduit work.
-Perform basic emergency exit light maintenance- check lights for proper operation, change bulbs, change batteries.
-Ensure the routine inspection and preventive maintenance of fire equipment; document and/or correct issues within scope of ability.
-Maintain on hand inventory of all supplies
Qualifications:
Required
-High school diploma/GED
-Valid driver’s license
-Clean driving record
-Ability to lift 75lbs
-Strong customer service skills
-Ability to work independently
Preferred
-NICET level I or II
-NAFED certification
-Experience with life safety equipment or fire systems
-Bilingual
