“My principal is the best because she always has our school organized and ready for us to learn. She is excited about our learning and wants us to succeed,” Ball Ground ES STEM Academy fifth-grader Lucas Battaglia said about Principal Amanda Blackwell. It’s National Principals Month, and our principals are the best of the best. Our Liberty Elementary School students will share their patriotism across metro Atlanta beginning tomorrow morning! Atlanta News First TV station has invited our schools to participate in its “Pledge of the Day” program. Each day for two and a half weeks, a different Liberty ES class will share our nation’s Pledge of Allegiance during the morning newscast at 5, 7 and 9 a.m. Set your alarm to watch and join us in cheering on our amazing students! Our schools are participating throughout the school year, and we’ll keep you posted. We’re on a mission to be the highest-performing school district in Georgia – and the district known for its contagious joy and optimism!

“Dr. D is the best principal because she is always willing to be part of school activities, and she lets us do fun PTA events! Sometimes when we do fundraisers, once we reach our goal she has to do something silly like kiss a cow, or get in a blow-up costume and dance to music in the cafeteria! Finally, she is the greatest because she is nice to all students!” Bascomb Elementary School fifth-grader Caitlin Clark said about Principal Dr. Carolyn Daugherty. It’s National Principals Month, and our principals are the best of the best. Please join us in thanking them for all they do to support our mission of being the highest-performing school district in Georgia where our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else.

"I believe my principal is the best because she doesn't raise her voice at all. She always stops to say 'good morning' or 'how's you day going' or just simply 'hi.' She is very understanding and positive. I love the way she will pop in to check on our day and what we are doing! She is so nice and kind and does so much for our school! She makes school a safe environment and a place to love learning," Boston Elementary School fifth-grader Olive Maniscalco said about Principal Dr. Celeice Hood. It’s National Principals Month, and our principals are the best of the best. Please join us in thanking them for all they do to support our mission of being the highest-performing school district in Georgia where our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else.

Please join us in thanking them for all they do to support our mission of being the highest-performing school district in Georgia where our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else.
