Who is Ted Metz, Georgia’s Libertarian candidate for governor? Ted Metz will almost certainly not be Georgia’s next governor.
Maximum Freedom, Minimum Government The Libertarian Party of Gilmer County will begin holding regular called meeting starting November 4th.
We will be meeting on the THIRD THURSDAY of every month at 7pm. Location will be determined at a date one week in advance until we can secure a permanent location. If you're ready to end the two party system and bring in a viable and strong third party, the Libertarian Party of Georgia and Gilmer County welcomes you! Maximum Freedom, Minimum Government
Libertarian philosophy can be broken down to 7 words:
"Leave me alone. Don't steal my stuff."

There is still time to register! We are honored to have top notch speakers, including Daniel Johnson who will discuss "Selling Libertarianism" Dan will be addressing how making liberty real and removing people's fear advances freedom.
Many Libertarians praise the efforts of individuals and small groups of individuals when they do good; groups like neighborhood watches, or a collective of concerned citizens fixing potholes rather than waiting on the local government to take action.
Though these are notable things, many of us forget that large groups already exist that provide better public services than the government, groups like Underwriter's Laboratories, which is responsible for the safety of electrical appliances without any governmental oversight, or the Cajun Navy, who saved over 6000 people during Hurricane Harvey.
Dan's organization, We Do Better, gained national media attention while helping private citizens provide disaster relief to Puerto Rico while the government stood by, in some cases, even trying to stop aid from reaching those that needed it.
By focusing on what liberty is already doing for us, and how it already affects people's lives, rather than ideological discussions, we can start showing people what liberty can do for them, which is the first step to achieving more liberty.

Bill Weld may have just very well changed the game for the Libertarian Party. Don't let this momentum stop, join your state party today, attend your state convention and we will bring the common sense ideas from the left and the right to Washington.
Judge Rules For The Libertarian Party, Against Presidential Debates Comm. The Libertarian Party sued the FEC and labeled the presidential debates an illegal in-kind political contribution made to the two parties by a purportedly non-partisan (and therefore questionably tax-exempt) Commission.
