A year ago today Savannah went to school just like any other day. No one realizing she would never come home. Her mom received a call that she had a seizure and she needed to get to the school. Leaving work her mom didn't know the long road that she and her family would face. She even drove to the hospital thinking they would be able to leave soon. Once Savannah was at the hospital she wouldn't stop seizing so the doctors had to sedate her as well as intubate. She was immediately life flighted to CHOA-Egleston. We all prayed and believed that the Lord would heal her and the outcome would be so different. Savannah never recovered from her sudden unknown illness. She fought like a champ until the very end. She is missed every minute of every day. A year ago her journey with seizures started and ended with her being with the Lord 30 days later. Please keep her family and friends in prayer as this path they are on is not an easy one. While Savannah is absolutely missed everyday these next few weeks will be especially hard. Thank you all for your love and support.
We informed you in our last post that the autopsy did not provide any insight as to what made Savannah sick. We received the results back from Genetic testing within the past couple weeks. No abnormalities were found that would have caused the seizures. That was the last testing that could be done in our search for answers. On a positive note it does mean that her sisters are not at risk genetically speaking for developing seizures.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Please also pray for Collier Gray's family as he passed away this afternoon. You can find the link to his story in other previous posts.

Celebrating Savannah's birthday!

Today is Savannah's birthday. She would be 9 years old. Please remember her family and friends in prayer today. Happy Birthday Savannah! We love and miss you!
Update: For those that do not already know Savannah's autopsy results came back a couple of weeks ago. The doctors could not find anything wrong with any of her organs. He said it is a complete medical mystery and that he couldn't believe those organs were from a sick child because they were perfectly healthy organs. We have sent them off for a second opinion. Please pray for our family. While the autopsy results wouldn't have brought Savannah back we were hoping at least to have an answer as to why she is gone. Now all we know is that there is no explanation other than the Lord chose to take her. Thank you all for everything you have done for us during this time.

Please everyone don't forget the Ride for Savannah is this Saturday. There will be things to do for everyone including bouncy houses, prizes, etc. I spoke with Savannah's dad yesterday. Savannah's medical bills totaled approximately 1.5 million dollars. After insurance and Medicaid they are left owing around $100,000. As with any medical bills like this companies can go as far as putting a lean on your property. We don't want that to happen to Savannah's family. They really need all of the help and support we can give them. If you have already donated thank you!
