Bike to School Day celebrations are rolling across Georgia! 🚲🍎
This week, students at Carrollton City Schools joined the ’s Schools Bike Bus Pilot, riding together along the Carrollton Greenbelt with dedicated adult leaders leading the way. Riders were welcomed with snacks, bike safety goodies, and plenty of community spirit along the route to school.
More than 20 Georgia schools are participating in Bike Month events, helping students build healthy habits and safer routes to school.

We had such a great time at the Pop-Up Safety Town in Augusta, GA, hosted by the awesome team at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia!
Our Georgia Safe Routes to School team was out teaching kids how to safely cross the street and ride their bikes — and they did a great job! 🙌 From using crosswalks to riding through a fun bike course, these kids learned important safety tips in a hands-on (and super fun) way.
Big thanks to everyone who came out and to the Children’s Hospital for having us! 💛

The Safe Routes to School team was proud to once again participate in the Go Georgia Bike, Walk, Live Summit in Columbus, GA! We gained valuable insights and had the chance to experience firsthand the impressive walking and biking infrastructure that makes Columbus such a model for active transportation.
