We provide Georgia K-8 Schools with the tools they need to start-up, grow, and sustain meaningful safe routes to school programs.

The Resource Center is a one-stop shop for schools to find out about SRTS, get practical advice and information on training and funding opportunities, and learn about available resources in their region to help make walking and biking popular choices for kids traveling to and from school.

Bike to School Day celebrations are rolling across Georgia! ๐Ÿšฒ๐ŸŽ

This week, students at Carrollton City Schools joined the โ€™s Schools Bike Bus Pilot, riding together along the Carrollton Greenbelt with dedicated adult leaders leading the way. Riders were welcomed with snacks, bike safety goodies, and plenty of community spirit along the route to school.
More than 20 Georgia schools are participating in Bike Month events, helping students build healthy habits and safer routes to school.

What an incredible
morning at Indian Creek Elementary!
Over 600 super walkers, DeKalb Fire Rescue, and Ladybug for Girls brought all the fun for the International Walk to School Day celebration!
We were honored to present Safe Routes to School and reinforce pedestrian safety education for all students and 17 parents after the walk.
Big thanks to our amazing champion, principal, staff, families, and dedicated crossing guards โ€” and to GDOT for the continued support! "

We had such a great time at the Pop-Up Safety Town in Augusta, GA, hosted by the awesome team at the Childrenโ€™s Hospital of Georgia!

Our Georgia Safe Routes to School team was out teaching kids how to safely cross the street and ride their bikes โ€” and they did a great job! ๐Ÿ™Œ From using crosswalks to riding through a fun bike course, these kids learned important safety tips in a hands-on (and super fun) way.

Big thanks to everyone who came out and to the Childrenโ€™s Hospital for having us! ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ“ธ Check out some of the highlights โ€” lots of smiles, learning, and little ones showing off their bike and pedestrian skills!
