Today, on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we recognize and honor the Indigenous peoples who have called these lands home since long before Europeans arrived.

No one “discovered” these continents.

Indigenous peoples were here for thousands of years—building communities, cultivating the land, developing cultures and traditions, and thriving across what we now call the Americas long before European arrival.

Here in Bartow County, we are surrounded by a rich Native American history. We remember and honor the Indigenous peoples who lived, worked, raised families, and built communities here long before our county—or our country—existed.

Today, we honor that history, acknowledge the profound impact of colonization and displacement, and amplify Indigenous voices, cultures, and stories—not just today, but throughout the year.

We remember. We honor. We listen.
Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

❤️ OUR COMMUNITY SHOWED UP! ❤️

What a night!

Perfect weather. A beautiful setting. Inspiring candidate speeches. And, most importantly, the incredible support of our community.

The theme of our fundraiser—Our Community, Our Future, Our Voice—could not have been more fitting.

A room full of people came together at Big Door Vineyards last night, and we are feeling the love. We appreciate every single person who joined us, supported us, bid in the silent auction, brought a friend, and helped make our first fundraiser on this scale such a success.

And to all of the candidates who joined us—thank you! ❤️

One thing was especially clear last night: 2026 is different.

We are feeling the attention from statewide and local candidates, and we couldn’t be happier to see so much energy focused on Bartow County and the people who live here.

The message we heard throughout the evening was clear: people are hurting. Prices are up, families are feeling the pressure, and there are serious concerns about the direction of our state and country.

But there was also something else in that room: hope.

Hope that things can change. Hope that we can build something better. And hope in the candidates who are stepping up with the knowledge, experience, and drive to do the work.

And as Darcy Castro reminded us so beautifully: there is no shame in changing your mind. If you’ve voted differently in the past, there is a place for you here.

Last night, Bartow County showed up.

And we are just getting started. 💙

Our Community. Our Future. Our Voice.
