πŸ—³ The Democratic Runoff is almost here β€” and we need YOU to show up one more time!

Sample ballots are now available on your Georgia My Voter Page, so now is the perfect time to make your voting plan. Runoffs are often decided by a much smaller number of voters, which means every vote matters even more.

Let’s keep the momentum going and elect strong Democratic candidates who can win in November and continue moving Georgia forward.

Pride Month is a celebration of love, identity, courage, and community β€” but it also began as a protest.

In June 1969, LGBTQ+ Americans, led in large part by transgender women and activists of color, stood up against discrimination and police harassment at the Stonewall uprising in New York City. Their courage sparked a movement that continues today in the ongoing fight for equality, dignity, and human rights.

More than 50 years later, that fight is far from over.

Across the country, LGBTQ+ Americans β€” especially transgender youth and their families β€” are facing attacks on their rights, healthcare, education, and ability to live openly and safely. Here in Georgia and nationwide, elections have real consequences for the protections, freedoms, and opportunities available to our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors.

Pride is about celebration, but it is also about solidarity and action.

Voting is one of the most powerful tools we have to defend human rights, elect leaders who believe in equality, and build communities where everyone can live authentically without fear.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community β€” their history, their resilience, and their contributions to our country and our communities. And we recommit ourselves to the work of protecting freedom and justice for all.

Happy Pride Month! πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

Memorial Day began with remembrance β€” and with purpose.

In 1865, freed formerly enslaved people in Charleston, South Carolina gathered to honor fallen Union soldiers β€” one of the earliest Memorial Day observances in our nation’s history. In 1868, Decoration Day was officially proclaimed to honor those lost in war, a tradition that became Memorial Day.

Today, we remember those heroes and the sacrifices they made.

But remembrance alone is not enough.

The men and women we honor today fought to defend this nation and its ideals. As civilians, our duty is different, but no less important: to defend democracy with our vote, with our voice, and by refusing to stay silent in the face of injustice.

The struggles for justice, equality, and democracy did not end on distant battlefields. They continue here at home β€” and honoring the fallen means refusing to take those freedoms for granted.

Today, we remember. And in their honor, we recommit ourselves to the work of building and protecting this country for generations to come.

πŸŽ‰ What a week for Georgia Democrats β€” and now we turn our focus to what comes next!

Congratulations to Jon Ossoff, Keisha Lance Bottoms, Tanya Miller, Katherine Juhan-Arnold, Peter Hubbard, Sheila Edwards, Lydia Powell, Chris Harden β€” and our local Democratic candidates Darcy Castro, Bella Bautista, Lauren Jones, Willie Coombs, and Andrea Jude!

These Democratic nominees will carry our values forward into November, and now it’s time to rally behind them and get to work. πŸ’™

But we’re not done yet…

🚨 The Democratic runoff is June 16 for:
βœ” Lt. Governor
βœ” Secretary of State
βœ” Insurance Commissioner
βœ” Labor Commissioner

Runoffs are often decided by far fewer voters β€” which means YOUR vote matters even more.

As we head into a new week, let’s keep showing up, keep organizing, and keep moving Georgia forward.
