On May 20, officers and detectives from the Norcross Police Department joined law enforcement agencies from across Gwinnett County for the Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting Special Olympics Georgia.

Hosted by the Gwinnett County Police Department, the event brought together approximately 70 participants in support of athletes with intellectual disabilities and the mission of Special Olympics Georgia.

The 20-mile torch run began in Suwanee and made its way through the county before finishing in Loganville.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, cheered along the route, and helped make this event a success. Together, we're helping shine a light on the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Georgia and the power of community.

Today, the City of Norcross and the Norcross Police Department honor the brave men and women of law enforcement who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

In observance of National Peace Officers Memorial Day, City flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, May 15.

This day serves as a solemn reminder of the courage, dedication and service of officers who gave their lives protecting and serving their communities. We also recognize and support the families, friends and fellow officers who continue to carry their memory forward.

The City of Norcross is grateful for the service and sacrifice of all law enforcement officers, especially the members of the Norcross Police Department and those across the nation who work every day to keep our communities safe.

Keeping kids safe is always a top priority!

Recently, Norcross Police and Code Enforcement officers joined several car seat check events hosted by the Gwinnett County Fire Department, Gwinnett County Police Department, and the Dunwoody Police Department.

These events helped ensure families had properly installed, safe car seats while giving parents and caregivers the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about child passenger safety. Our officers enjoyed connecting with families and supporting this important community effort.

A big thank you to all of our partner agencies for including Norcross Police in these impactful events and for helping keep children safe on the road every day!

Building strong community connections one conversation at a time!

What started as a chance conversation between one of our Community Outreach Officers and a local business owner at a restaurant turned into a meaningful show of appreciation for our Norcross Police Department.

Following that meeting, Mr. Tim Beck and the team at United Consulting generously invited our officers to enjoy lunch at their office. Officers who attended had a great time connecting, sharing conversations, and strengthening relationships with members of our business community.

We are incredibly grateful for partners like United Consulting who take the time to support and engage with our officers. Moments like these help build trust and connections that make Norcross such a special place.

Thank you for your hospitality!
