The June Friends' Book Club will be discussing the new book selection of "Good Dirt" by Charmaine Wilkerson. Our Book Donation Days are coming up starting this Saturday, May 30, from 1-4pm! We are accepting donations of books on designated days and times for our upcoming Summer Reading Book Sale on June 6! Meet us in the lobby of the East Atlanta Library with your donations! Please review the guidelines to know what we can not accept. We are looking for kids and teens books but also adult books - all genres! Do not donate textbooks, smelly or torn books, dictionaries/thesaurus, cookbook series or specific diet books and others mentioned on the flyer.

Please do not drop off books at the library outside these designated times. We have limited space and staff is not allowed to accept donations. Don't miss the Friends' Book Club meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26 at 6:30pm. The discussion will be about "The Diamond Eye" by Kate Quinn. The participants will choose the June book selection. The club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the East Atlanta Library meeting room. It is free and open to the public. All are welcome (new and returning participants). The youth librarian has started a Teen Book Chat The next one is Tuesday, May 12 at 5pm. Share with your teens! Want to tell someone about the book you’re reading? Looking for a new book recommendation? Want to spend an hour chatting books with people your age? The East Atlanta library is hosting a monthly, casual, teen book chat! Bring your current read or find a new one and spend some time chatting books with new friends! All programs are free and open to the public. Ages 13 - 18, (8th - 12th grades). You can collect 25 custom badges for reading books and participating in monthly themed activities! The best part? These badges count towards the Year of the Bingo Card!

Collect 5 badges in a row, and you’ll receive a special Bingo badge! Also, if you complete all the challenges by the end of the year, you will proudly earn your Year of the Book badge and complete your Bingo card badge! Oh, and some big bragging rights!
