The dets of 1-111th AVN are a 6 aircraft Medical Evacuation Company comprised of multiple aviation elements split over two locations, CNGC in Marietta and HAAF, in Savannah. 1-111th General Support Aviation Brigade (GSAB) Georgia is made up of 3 Detachments in 2 locations, Clay National Guard Center in Marietta Georgia and Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah Georgia. The 111th had our annual Family Christmas party this weekend. A wonderful event full of games, hot chocolate, some well deserved recognition, a little bit of rain, and a visit from a very special guest!
Thank you to our senior leadership COL Simmons, CSM Cowser, and SGM Creamer for taking the time to visit with our soldiers and families! Also a special thank you to our families! We can’t do what we do without each and every one of you!

Members of 1-111th cleaned up well and had a wonderful time at the 78th Aviation Troop Command 2023 Formal! It was a phenomenal event in a fantastic location! Can’t wait for 2024!
