Brooks Coleman celebrated his retirement from the Legislature after 51 years of public service between our Gwinnett schools and the Georgia House of Representatives! He is the typical “gifted child.” I can’t wait to see what he does next!

I’m so glad we are preserving our beautiful old homes in Gwinnett! Here is the Jule Oakes family home. You can see they even had to replace the foundation. A plaque was dedicated today to Mr. Oakes, a former Lawrenceville mayor.

I was at the Lawrenceville City Council Meeting tonight and was able to visit afterwards with my friends Lee Merritt and Victoria Jones. Lee is our Joanna Gaines, restoring homes in Gwinnett. Her “fixer uppers” are selling as fast as she puts them on the market.

Pearson, my oldest son, loves his job with Your Pie. He gets to travel across the country, setting up the new businesses and training employees. I always knew he would make a great teacher.
