PUBLIC NOTICE: The City of Loganville is advising that Twin Lakes Road from Tom Brewer Road to the entrance to West Walton Park will be closed from October. 5 - 9, 2026 in order to repair and replace a pipe in the road. Access to the park will remain open from Highway 81. Please be guided accordingly.

Walton County is issuing a notice to residents that the bridge crossing Beaverdam Creek on Dewey Hogan Road (the dirt portion) will be closed to all road traffic. While our public works team had already been monitoring this bridge closely, a recent routine inspection uncovered safety concerns that required us to close it to keep our community safe.

The closure will begin the week of September 28th, 2026. There is currently no set timeline for when the bridge will reopen. The county is pursuing a replacement through the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP). Securing state support through this program will save significant taxpayer dollars, though it does mean the overall design and replacement process may take a bit longer.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this project to build a safer crossing for everyone. We will keep the community updated as soon as new information and timelines become available.

Please come out for our Fall Craft Fair this Saturday September 19th." It is located at the Grove amphitheater, 1089 Hwy 81, Walnut Grove 30052. The gate will be open from 9:00 AM till 3:00 PM and entry is free. There will be close to 50 local crafters offering a wide variety of items to shop. We look forward to a great event.

Heads up, Walton County! We’ll be doing some routine sidewalk repair work at the entrance of the Courthouse at 303 S Hammond Dr in Monroe on Wednesday, September 16, and Thursday, September 17. Please rest assured that the building will remain fully open during regular business hours throughout the project.
