Before Tropical Storm Helene makes landfall, make sure you know how to secure your property. Plan to bring in all outdoor furniture, decorations, garbage cans and anything else that is not tied down.
As we monitor Tropical Storm Helene’s path and potential impact, I have declared a State of Emergency enabling emergency management teams to prepare for and direct resources well in advance of the storm’s arrival. Stay vigilant and stay safe.
It’s important for Georgians to take action now to prepare for severe weather.
Ready Georgia provides further guidance on important steps you can take to protect you and your loved ones.
Ready Georgia
Launched in January 2008, Ready Georgia is a statewide campaign supported by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Homeland Security (GEMA/HS) aimed at motivating Georgians to take action to prepare for a disaster.
