This past Friday, the MARTA Police Department had the privilege of celebrating 19 new graduates as they officially completed the academy at the Fulton County Public Safety Training Center.
These graduates have shown dedication, discipline, and determination throughout their training journey, and we couldn’t be more proud to welcome them to our agency.
As they begin their careers in public safety, they now join the mission of serving and protecting our riders, employees, and communities each and every day.

This National Police Week, we honor the brave men and women who serve and protect our communities every day. Your dedication, courage, sacrifice, and commitment do not go unnoticed.
We also take this time to honor one of our own. MARTA Police Officer Micah Corey Brown was killed in the line of duty on October 25, 2003. During this week of recognition, we remember his service, sacrifice, and legacy. His dedication to protecting others will never be forgotten.
Thank you to all officers who continue to answer the call and serve with pride each and every day. 💙🚔
Happy National Police Week from the MARTA Police Department.

Honoring the Voices Behind the Badge💛
Message from Chief Kreher, “Our police dispatchers, call takers and support staff in the Police Communications Center are vital to our success in fighting crime and ensuring public safety each day. Behind the scenes most of the time, their professionalism and dedication to duty are unmatched. Keeping our officers safe with pertinent information, receiving help calls from both citizens and our officers for assistance, and being that calm voice to manage the radio traffic when things go bad is why they are recognized this week. I can’t say enough about their work and how they are appreciated by me and the entire MPD staff. Thank you for being best-in-class!”
Happy National Public Safety Telecommunications Week!
