All Forsyth County Schools will return to in-person learning on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, operating on a 2-hour delay.

✔️School start times will begin two hours later than normal
✔️Dismissal times will remain the same as a regular school day
✔️Schools and district facilities will reopen
✔️Activities and athletics will follow the adjusted schedule
✔️No outdoor practices or activities tomorrow

A 2-hour delay allows for additional daylight and improved visibility for student drivers and buses, gives our teams time to ensure buildings are safe and ready, and supports families by opening schools and providing meals.

These decisions are made carefully with student and staff safety in mind. We’re grateful to our staff, first responders, and community partners for their continued partnership.

All Forsyth County government offices and facilities will be open and fully operational on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

📢 Important Notice: Online Tax Payment System Maintenance 📢

Please be advised that online tax payment services will be unavailable due to scheduled software maintenance beginning Friday, January 16th at 5:00 PM and will resume Monday, January 19th at midnight.

We kindly ask that you plan accordingly and submit any payments before the system goes offline.

We will re-open on Tuesday, January 20th with our normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 pm.
