Yesterday, we gathered to honor the memory of the victims of the 2021 Atlanta spa shootings. The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community is marked by its vibrant diversity. This tragic event brought us together five years ago, and we continue to stand united. There is no room for hate in the United States when we stand together.

Thank you to Georgia Public Broadcasting for having me on GPB’s ‘Lawmakers’ last week. I spoke with Donna Lowry about Senate Bill (SB) 559 that would prevent landlords from using algorithms to set lease terms and SB 580 which would set a minimum amount required for a foreclosure on a lien on a property under the Georgia Condominium Act and the Georgia Property Owners Association Act.

It is with great sorrow that we remember the life and legacy of civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson, who passed at the age of 84. His lifelong commitment to justice, equality, and service inspired countless Americans and helped expand opportunities for future generations. Georgia honors his work and the enduring impact he made on our nation. 🕊️
