GSGA is super excited everyone is back on campus, but we could not let the day end without bringing attention to Black History Month.
GSGA wants to take a moment to recognize all of the achievements and accolades of Blacks/ African Americans. African Americans have and will continue to play an important role in America and at Emory University.
Be sure to keep watch on our stories as we will use every week in this month to highlight a few black owned businesses in Atlanta.

The world commemorates January 27th as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The Holocaust Remembrance Day was established by the United Stations General Assembly on November 1, 2005. The idea for this day came after the commemorations of the 60th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust and the liberation of N**i concentration camps. This day was also chose because January 27th in 1945 was the day when the Soviet troops from the Red Army liberated Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest concentration camp operated by the N**is.
The resolution that was passed 60/7 encourages all member states of the UN to remember the victims of the Holocaust and establish educational programs about the Holocaust's history, teach people about the devastating loss and atrocities that happened during this period, and to prevent future acts of genocide.

Lights, Camera, Action, and Popcorn!
It's National Popcorn Day and while we wish we could be having a popcorn fight on the quad, safety is important. So instead we are enjoying our favorite popcorn from the comfort of our home. What is your favorite flavor? Is it butter, caramel, cheddar?!?
Let us know in the comments!
