Today, we honor the brave Americans who laid down their lives in defense of our nation and our freedoms. Their sacrifice will forever be remembered, and we remain deeply grateful for the courage and service of those who gave everything for our country.

Last night, I had the honor of being named one of James Magazine’s Exceptional State Lawmakers of the Year. This recognition is truly an honor, and I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the people of Georgia’s 20th Senate District.

I also want to congratulate my friend Griff Lynch, President and CEO of the Georgia Ports Authority, on being named James Magazine’s 2026 Georgian of the Year.

Lastly, I would like to thank Phil Kent and the entire James Magazine staff for this honor and for putting on such a wonderful event.
