I am proud to be running as a Clean Elections Candidate and proud of our state for giving regular Mainer’s the option to run for office without needing to accept donations from corporations and special interest groups. I’m running to build a stronger, brighter future for all Mainers and my campaign is funded through $5 donations exclusively from my fellow residents of District 15. I know we are all experiencing some degree of economic hardship these days, but if you can spare $5 to help me get across the finish line in this race it would be greatly appreciated.

Buker Community Center

What's Happening: The City of Augusta is continuing work on both the Western Avenue Area Planning Partnership Initiative (PPI) and Citywide Active Transportation Plan (ATP) and we want to hear from you! Following the first public meeting and extensive community outreach, including a transportation survey, the project team has developed preliminary design options for Western Avenue and identified next steps for the Active Transportation Plan.

Western Avenue Area Transportation Study: Identifying short and long term improvements to enhance safety, traffic flow, multimodal access, placemaking, traffic calming, and economic development along the Western Avenue corridor.

Citywide Active Transportation Plan: Developing citywide recommendations to improve walking, biking, mobility access, and neighborhood connectivity on both sides of the river.

Get Involved: Join us for the second public meeting on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Buker Community Center (22 Armory Street), to see what we’ve heard, review the ideas taking shape, and provide feedback as the plans move forward.

When reports of planes hitting the Twin Towers started coming in, I was driving up the 5 freeway from San Diego to my home in Long Beach. As a recruiter in the Navy, I had just dropped off a couple applicants for the Navy and was planning to get some shut eye for a few hours before heading into the recruiting station to await their return in the afternoon.

Not long after I had fallen asleep, my phone rang with the updated report. It was not just a small plane that had accidentally hit but a large plane and suspected terrorist attack.

I immediately headed back down to San Diego to sit with my applicants and help them process when I wasn't even sure I knew how to process, but I knew I needed to be there with them and all the other applicants there that day.

We all sat in stunned silence watching the big screen tv in the waiting room. We watched as the towers fell. We watched the aftermath of the pentagon attack, not knowing it had claimed the lives of some of my friends and shipmates. We watched the crash site in Pennsylvania. We watched as rescue efforts unfolded.

My applicants, like most that day, swore into the armed forces as planned, many with a renewed sense of duty, service, and honor.

Like most people who were alive that day, I will never forget 9/11 and I will never stop thinking about the shipmates I lost or those high school boys I drove down to MEPS who raised their right hand and swore into the navy that day.

It was a very busy Labor Day weekend. I started out Friday meeting voters in Belgrade. We talked about energy prices, trains for people and freight, property taxes, taxidermy, running a small business in Maine, rural healthcare and how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place.

Saturday was more homes in Belgrade and then the Sportsman's Alliance of Maine Banquet where I saw so many familiar faces from my months meeting Mainers on their doorsteps.

Sunday morning was the Central Maine Labor Council BBQ to remind us all of the importance of a united labor force.

Sunday night was the silliness moment from my campaign. Windsor Fair for the Political Pull where I proudly tied for last place and then had some fun on the rides for the evening.

Thank you to everyone who opened their doors to me or chatted with me at an event.

Today we celebrate all the hard won gains our labor movement have achieved, and we remember that we must continue to fight for fair and equal treatment for Maine’s workers. I’m proud to stand with so many good people fighting for our state’s future.
