For over 40 years, Austin COAC has provided support and help to families who choose to build their families through adoption. In January of 2024, we were informed that the local DPFS would no longer fund Austin COAC due to changes in their structure. Post-adoption services for our area and other agencies have declined funding as well.
Over the last year and a half, we have searched for alternative funding, with no luck. It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you that we are no longer able to continue running Austin COAC and our adoption support group. This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the significant impact this may have on each of you who have found connection, understanding, and strength through our meetings.
As this chapter comes to a close, we are committed to helping you find alternative resources and support. If you would like assistance connecting with resources, please don't hesitate to reach out. We want to ensure you continue to feel supported and informed.

COAC Adoption Support Group meetings are held via Zoom on the second Monday of every month from 6:30pm to 8pm.

Due to the quarantine, COAC will not be meeting in person this month but we are still meeting!

Hey Austin area Foster & Adoptive friends and family. My church The Bridge Community Church is hosting a FREE Parents Night Out 12/20. Get last minute Christmas shopping done, clean your house, take a nap, date night with your spouse! This event is open to foster, kinship, PMC or adoptive families. If you have bio children as well as foster/adopted children, bio children are welcome as well. Please share with fellow foster/adoptive families too!
