As a mom - and hopefully an incoming freshman in the Texas House - I think a lot about the Texas we’re leaving our kids

Great public schools. Clean water. Safe communities. Good jobs. More freedom and opportunity.

That’s the future I’m running for. And apparently, I’ve got some help getting the word out. 💙

Don’t wait. Double-check your voter registration status TODAY and make sure you are vote ready.

We cannot afford to sit out this election. We need every single one of you voting, from the TOP of the ticket to the BOTTOM of the ticket.

The vote is yours. The power is yours. You decide what happens next in Texas.

Our hospitals are where some of the biggest challenges facing Texas meet: healthcare costs, workforce shortages, Medicaid, and whether families can get the care they need close to home.

I spent time at Dell Children’s with the Texas Hospital Association seeing that work firsthand and digging into how we actually finance healthcare in Texas.

These are big problems. The Legislature should be serious about solving them, and I’m ready to get to work.

Standing room only in Lake Travis today! Hundreds of people packed the room, and you could FEEL the energy.

I had the honor of introducing Gina Hinojosa as she talked about fighting for public schools, protecting healthcare, ending corruption, and building a Texas that works for all of us.

People are fired up. People are ready. And I cannot wait to call Gina Hinojosa Governor.

Let’s go, Texas. We’ve got work to do!

Spent the last four weekends blockwalking and talking to HD 47 voters! Why? Because this election cycle is too important to sit out.

I have been bringing people along with me who wanted company or have never walked before.

We stood together to demand the release of Texas’ delayed maternal mortality report.

Nearly 4 out of 5 pregnancy-related deaths are preventable, and Black women continue to face the highest rates.

We need this report to understand why women are dying and build legislation that saves lives. As a legislator, I’ll fight for transparency, better maternal healthcare, and laws that give doctors the ability to protect their patients. Release the report.

From the city to the county, it’s been great to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and the incredible contributions of our Hispanic and Latino communities.

But this week has also felt heavy. After the ICE shooting in North Austin, I keep thinking about the kind of representative I want to be for HD 47 and the kind of Texas I want us to build together.

One where we show up for our neighbors, where we stand together when members of our community are hurting or afraid, and where no one is made to feel like they don’t belong.

We celebrate together, we uplift one another, and in the hard moments, we stand together.

This bears repeating: immigration enforcement does not erase constitutional rights. What happened in North Austin demands answers, transparency, and accountability.

Can’t stop, won’t stop! Because our communities need us now, more than ever.

Saturday was busy across HD 47: launching a block walk, speaking at Democracy Day in the Park, celebrating at the Harvest Moon Festival, listening to Texas AFT educators about public education legislation, joining Gloria for ACC at her campaign launch in our neighborhood, and supporting Yvonne Muñoz for Travis County Appraisal District. Because this work is bigger than one race.

My goal is simple: up and down the ballot, across HD 47, Democrats win. The work continues. The momentum is building.

All gas. No brakes. Until Election Day.
