As of June 1, 2026, a convenience fee will be applied to payments made by credit card. This includes AutoPay, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Online credit and debit card payments will be assessed 2.95% of the transaction amount (minimum fee of $2.95). In-person credit card payments will be assessed 3.5% of the transaction amount. There is no fee for payments made by cash, check, ACH/e-check, or in-person debit cards (with PIN).

Heads up, Avondale drivers! Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) crews will be completing pavement preservation work on portions of McDowell Road and Lower Buckeye Road throughout June.
Work will take place on:
📍 Lower Buckeye Road between 6th Street and 124th Avenue from June 4–11
📍 McDowell Road between 83rd and 95th avenues on June 6–7 and again June 16–23
Construction activities will occur between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and will include roadway resurfacing, pavement markings, and other improvements designed to extend the life of the roadway.
Drivers should expect temporary lane closures, traffic control measures, and possible delays in both directions. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through work zones.
Thank you for your patience as these roadway improvements are completed.

Congratulations to the first-ever recipients of Avondale's Green for Good Community Sustainability Grant Program! 🌱👏
This program was created to support community-led projects that help build a more sustainable, resilient, and healthy Avondale. From composting and heat relief efforts to cooling initiatives and community maker spaces, this year's funded projects will make a meaningful impact for residents across our City.
