It's cooling down this season but still feels like summer in our Adult Day Services program with their "Armchair Trip to Hawai'i" 🌺 🌴They watched their flight on the big screen, and after landing in their tropical destination, they received a framed magnetic photo of themselves, a personal coloring page, and a lei to wear while they played beach ball games! ☀ Thank you to our amazing staff for this creative activity and to our generous sponsors: Batavia Nursing Care Center, Hospice of Hope, and Siena Gardens.

Our Adult Day Services center provides a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for older adults with physical and cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease or Parkinson's disease. Our ADS staff provides activities for participants that are mentally and physically engaging and fun, (like a quick trip across the country!) This program supports the responsibility of family caregivers, offering relief from the stress of providing care around the clock seven days per week. Wow, what a night! We 'Hit it out of the Ballpark' at our annual fundraiser, and so did the Reds ⚾ THANK YOU to everyone who came to the game, who donated to our agency, and to Adult Protective Services, and who support us every day. Every day, our Adult Protective Services team helps seniors who may be suffering from abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

Unfortunately, we have seen a stark increase in reported cases in the last few years. It is estimated that 1 in 10 seniors is a victim of elder abuse. Our investigators work tirelessly to keep older adults safe and protected, but the funding does not always match the growing need.

This is where you and your organization can help! Often times, emergency funds make the difference in keeping a vulnerable senior safe. This can include interventions such as paying for emergency relief from homelessness or purchasing essential hygiene items.

These actions, whether big or small, have the capacity to change the trajectory of someone's life.

At our 'Hit it out of the Ballpark' event, we raise funds that are directly used by the Adult Protective Services team to keep seniors safe.
